Sometimes it maybe necessary or desirable to approach a design issue in a more creative way, to this end an illustration has the flexibility to be unexpected, maybe light hearted, and can emphasis elements of an object that a photograph may find hard to reproduce. Illustrations can be a series of individual drawings that build to a final object, or as a presentation aid that can track a critical path which develops over a sequence of drawings in a variety of different styles unique to that company.
